Recurring billing made easy.
Recurring (or subscription) billing is always a bit of chore to integrate into your website. Every
payment gateway has their own unique - and often confusing - system specifications. Our platform
does the legwork of recurring billing for you. Just send a simple Recur API request
and OpenGateway uses your chosen gateway's native recurring billing feature to process your request. You can receive
POST notifications of subscription-related updates (cancellations, expirations, etc.) and cancel, update, or expire
the subscription at any time. Oh, and the platform lets you create and manage Recurring Plans that include
free trials, custom start/end dates, and custom subscription intervals.

We've taken old payment gateway specifications and gift-wrapped them in a simple API.
For example, to charge, simply send an XML POST request to the API URL with your API access credentials, your customer's credit card,
and the amount you want to charge. For recurring charges, send a recurring plan ID or specify recurring details like the
charge interval and end date. It just makes sense. You'll also have access to API functions like GetCustomer, GetRecurring, or
GetCharges that give you complete access to your payment data.
The OpenGateway software is secure.
The PCI DSS Compliance rules subject companies who are responsible for
credit card information leaks to massive fines (e.g., $500,000). These fines go to companies who store credit card information
insecurely. We do not store credit card information, even temporarily. We stay compliant by using your payment gateway's native billing
features to the fullest. No credit card information is stored locally, even for recurring billing. Your gateway access data
is highly encrypted and stored securely. It can also be deleted completely at anytime. Finally, the API
and Control Panel support (and require, by default) connections via SSL certificates to thwart attempts at intercepting
your data in transmission.

With the API, you have complete access to the payment platform and your data. However, if you want to manage the platform
immediately and without integration, you can login to the OpenGateway control panel. Manage recurring plans, emails,
gateways, and settings. View all transaction data, recurring charges, and customer profiles. You can even submit
transactions manually to any one of your gateways right in the control panel.
